New Job Opportunities Through DWP Kickstart Scheme

ENDS APRIL 2022 - we are delighted to announce that as part of the Government Kickstart Scheme, we are in a position to offer several roles within Sports Connections Foundation, for those who are claiming Universal Credit and aged 16 to 24 years old.



The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.


We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting transformational change in the lives of children and young people throughout the communities in which we operate. People who are willing to learn and who have a can do, positive attitude alongside a good work ethic.


There are 4 temporary, part-time roles available all in the Huntingdon area. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with some flexibility available. Alongside this there are other great training opportunities and some of the courses that you will be able to access are:


• Basic Fire Safety Awareness

• GDPR

• Safeguarding

• Diversity & Discrimination

Digital Content Creator

We are looking for a digital content creator to help communicate the four main programmes of the charity across our digital channels. This would involve using tools like canva, filmora & zubtitle alongside native content creation within platforms like TikTok, Insta, Twitter & FB.




Schools Programme Assistant

To support the delivery of the SCF schools programme which encompasses the Prokick Schools Challenge and Inspire Through Sports (ITS) programme.




Events Fundraising Assistant

Assisting members of staff/team and volunteers to create and oversee a calendar of events and challenges that are effective in meeting fundraising goals and raising awareness for the charitable work of Sports Connection Foundation.



Administrative Assistant

To support the operational needs of Sports Connections Foundation, by providing accurate and timely administration for a busy and growing childrens charity.


 

SCF seeks to improve future employability by providing ongoing peer support and mentoring via a Progressions Coach. In addition, we will use our network of charity partners to provide coaching and helpful work-related seminars.
