Sports Connections Foundation welcome Tanzii TV as charity ambassadors

Sports Connections Foundation (SCF), the children’s charity that uses sport to inspire and transform the lives of young people, are delighted to appoint children’s fitness coaches and YouTubers Tanzii TV as ambassadors for the charity. Brothers Ottavio and Dario run various fitness and exercise programmes in schools and online, with a mission to get children up and active and inspire future generations through exercise.

Based in Peterborough but helping children throughout the UK and internationally, Sports Connections Foundation was set up by former professional football Junior McDougald whose vision was to use sport to inspire children and young people. The charity runs various sports-related programmes consisting of mentoring children, providing happy experiences to children facing life-threatening illnesses and helping to create positive exit routes for those in poverty.

Tanzii TV share core values with SCF through their mission to increase opportunities for children and young people to remain happy and healthy. Since the January 2021 lockdown, Tanzii TV have connected with thousands of young people on this channel through fun fitness videos, with an aim to boost the physical and mental health of others whilst showing how fun exercise and movement can be.

The fitness coaches are running a ‘get active week’ between 20th and 24th of September where daily videos will be posted on their YouTube channel to inspire children through the use of sport, exercise and movement. All donations made from this will go towards supporting Sports Connections Foundations Sporting Wishes programme, helping dreams come true for children facing life-limiting illnesses. The special week will be broadcasted to over 100 primary schools and will include two daily fun fitness videos. More details can be found by Clicking Here.

Income and Engagement Manager Karen Olden said: “The charity is super excited to be working with Ottavio and Dario from Tanzii TV. The work they have done has been incredibly beneficial for children and young people, particularly through encouraging them to get active and have fun exercising during lockdown where many suffered from mental health struggles and social isolation. Tanzii TV’s values align with ours as a lot of our work revolves around building confidence and inspiring young people through sport, and so the partnership couldn’t feel more natural. We look forward to our future together”.

Tanzii TV said: “It is an absolute privilege to be ambassadors for Sports Connections Foundation. We truly believe in the amazing programmes SCF offer to support disadvantaged children which draws parallel to the work we do at Tanzii TV. We look forward to working in partnership to help make a true difference and we can't wait to get involved!”
