Another Sporting Wish!

At his Sporting Wish Rossi got to meet his hero James Haskell

One of the many things that Sports Connections Foundation do as you may already know, is to provide Sporting Wishes for children with long term debilitating illnesses. This month it was the turn of Rossi Starbrook, who suffers from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is a huge fan of the WASPS Coventry rugby team. The SCF team surprised him by knocking at his door at 9am on the morning of the trip, transporting him to the stadium in a swanky Range Rover (courtesy of Lee Clarke Car sales, one of our charity partners). SCF and the WASPS then proceeded to give Rossi and his family a day they would never forget, starting with a tour of the changing rooms (a bit smelly!) and ending with thumb wars and arm wrestling (Rossi won of course!) with the whole team in their club house. We absolutely love providing these lasting memories for seriously ill children and their families, and with your support we can do so much more! Just take a look at this little fellas face and then decide which of our fundraising events you'd like to get involved in - there are so many children waiting for us to bring some hope and sunshine into their lives!!
