Our Trustees

Our SCF Children's Charity Board of Trustees, share the huge responsibility of governing the Charity, overseeing our operations and directing how we are managed and run. 

 

Each brings a unique set of skills.

Mike Lorandeau

Mike is originally from Boston, Massachusetts and is a self employed IT Project manager who specialises in delivering IT solutions within the private and public sector.

Mike moved to the UK in 1985 with the United States Air Force and lives with his wife and two teenage children. He also has four grown up children. His hobbies are cooking, travelling and watching and playing all types of sports.

Ben Quail

Ben is a certified master Instructional Designer currently working in the UK Fire and Rescue Service at both regional and national levels.

 

Before this he spent some time in South Africa where he wrote books and instructional material for major education publishers, industry giants and socially-just micro franchises.

He is married with four children.

Trevor Single

Trevor is a Portfolio Executive with a focus on supporting smaller charities with their governance and business strategies.

 

His main career was as a senior civil servant in the Department of Trade and Industry working closely with Ministers and other Government Departments on policy developments.

 

He is passionate about most sports and still occasionally plays five a side football.

Dan Bass

Growing up in Durban, South Africa, Dan has over 20 years in the technology industry.

 

Starting as a software developer, he has worked in the manufacturing and financial sectors writing integration and platform systems.

As well as being a Christian, his interests include researching mental health, Lean thinking, playing the guitar, hiking and cooking.
