Making dreams come true for children facing life-threatening illnesses
Our Sporting Wishes help to make dreams come true for some of the bravest children who are facing life-threatening illnesses.
We are very proud to be able to provide some much needed respite from gruelling treatments and lengthy hospital stays that these children face, whilst also creating lasting memories for the whole family.
Parents have told us that we have been able to bring hope, joy and excitement at such a difficult and stressful time in their lives and with over 50,000 children living with life-threatening illnesses in the UK alone, we will continue to do so!
For families, a Sporting Wish can provide a lasting happy memory of their child enjoying a money-can't-buy experience whilst surrounded by family and friends. These memories can be looked back on and remembered forever and can also give the children a much needed boost as they continue their various treatments.
Rossi's Sporting Wish with Wasps and England Rugby Stars
" It was the most awsome day ever and it was by far the best day of my life and I got to meet new friends."
- Rossi aged 9
The very first wish was for Leah and John (both aged 9) who, with their families, were guests of the FA at Wembley, for the England v Sweden friendly in 2011. Leah and John met the former England manager Fabio Capello, helped lead the teams out, while their friends and family could watch it all live on TV and share the experience.
We've also given children the chance to be flag bearers at England international football matches at Wembley Stadium, given tours around training grounds of various sports teams, visited Red Bull Racing and been to the ATP Tennis semi-finals.
