We hope you've enjoyed the festive season as much as we have at Sports Connections Foundation this year!
We had lots on this Christmas, including our staff Christmas meal at the Brampton Mill, and a trip to attempt to bring some festive cheer to some very brave children in hospital. As well as presents, our Founder Junior McDougald took with him our very own Spider Man, and our good friend Jamie Seagrave, the amazing magician who also helped at our Cycle Splash Dash event this summer. We loved seeing the joy our visit gave for these children, even if only for a fleeting moment before they needed to be left in peace or to have more treatment.
So now it's onto New Years Eve! And what do you have planned for tonight? A party? Fireworks display? Maybe a quiet night in with a glass of bubbly? Whatever it is, we ask that you spare a thought for those families who will be spending it in hospital with their seriously ill children...
If you don't already know, one of the many wonderful things that our charity Sports Connections Foundation (SCF) provides, are Sporting Wishes for seriously ill children, so that both they and their families can have lasting happy memories for years to come. Whether it be meeting their favourite rugby team, watching an LA Lakers match (in Los Angeles!) or walking out onto the pitch at Wembley Stadium, in front of thousands of people to be a flag bearer, these children deserve any wish they ask for. Many are suffering awful conditions and treatment, but they continue to stay positive and brave.
So as you think about your own New Years resolution tonight, tomorrow or when the
hangover has cleared, why not think about who else you might be able to help next year? With a monthly donation of whatever you can manage, you could be helping us to provide the Sporting Wishes of 2018 to many more deserving children!

Thank you so much for your support in 2017, all of us at SCF and the many children we help appreciate you so much.
Happy New Year to you all!
