Karen Olden, Income & Engagement Manager was delighted to have been invited on to Neil Whiteside's show on Cambridge105 this week. Listeners heard about the Sports Connections Foundation #SCFsnowglobe campaign and our Sporting Wishes programme.
Matthew Cafferkey's son Daniel, was taken to Arsenal for his Sporting Wish after he had been treated with Cancer at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
Hear firsthand how our Charity Sporting Wishes provide a life long memory for families and a much needed respite from gruelling treatments and lengthy hospital stays that the children face.
SCF Childrens Charity aspiration is to raise funds to deliver at least 20 Sporting Wishes in 2021 to families like the Cafferkeys. These may be delivered virtually initially but we know the positive impact that they will have, providing hope and excitement to families who have felt very isolated since the pandemic struck this year. We can only do so with the help and support of our amazing supporters and Corporate Partners.
