A New Month, New Sporting Wishes!

As I'm sure many of you will remember we here at SCF went to visit some very brave children in hospital over the Christmas period to spread some cheer with the aid of magician Jamie Seagrave and Spider-Man.

One of the children we met was Sam Millhouse who we were able to send to Wembley stadium to watch his favourite team: Tottenham Hotspur play against Huddersfield Town in their Premier League fixture on the 3rd of March.

With the company of his family and courtesy of two goals from South Korean winger Son Heung-Min, Sam saw Spurs win 2-0 and keep themselves in the Champions League places!

As you can see from the pictures it was a great day out for all of the family and the first they'd managed to have altogether since Sam's hospital stay!

That's not the only Sporting Wish we have been able to grant this month either. We also had the privilege of sending Kieran Duxbury and his dad Robin to the Manchester United vs Liverpool game on 10th March!

Travelling from Bedford, Kieran was met by one of our Charity Champions, Simon Hall, at Old Trafford and was given the VIP experience that included a fantastic view of the Theatre of Dreams!

Kieran has been very bravely undergoing cancer treatment at Addenbrookes Hospital and as a lifelong Liverpool fan we felt he was very deserving in joining Simon attending the match. Despite the result which saw Man Utd win 2-1, it was a great day out for all involved as you can see from the pictures below.

Giving children like Sam and Kieran the chance to see their favourite sports stars and seeing the joy it brings really is what SCF is all about and we are very lucky to have the opportunity to make another child's dream come true later this month!

Keep an eye out for the pictures and story from our next Sporting Wish which will taking place on the 27th of March!!
